Who Really Overthrew Hawaii's Monarchy?

I just had to take this subject on and may go on about it for many-a-blog because it thoroughly amazes me that a small number of people still hold fast to the idea that "Hawaiians" overthrew their own monarchy and that the overthrow was widely accepted by the "Hawaiians."

In reality, every single person that took part in the overthrow was either a 2nd generation SON of a missionary or they were businessmen, and yes, most of the businessmen were from America with the exception of one man from Scotland, another from Germany, and another from...Tasmania. And that was out of the 22 people involved in the "Provisional Government," and all those involved in the "Committee of Safety," and also anyone who testified against the Hawaiian people for the Morgan Report. Also, it is important to note here that the 2nd generation missionaries almost in total went on to become big businessmen, with only a few dedicating themselves to other high-powered, but less well paid jobs.

What is most important to note here is this: NOT A SINGLE NATIVE HAWAIIAN TOOK PART IN THE OVERTHROW. Not even a part Hawaiian - NONE took part.

What is also of importance to note is that it was by racism and through the judgment of the Hawaiian ways that people felt they were "in the right" for taking over the Hawaiian lands. They believed that the Native Hawaiians were incapable of governing themselves correctly.

So, say hypothetically that, as members of the Provisional Government stated, that the Queen (God bless her soul) was really not that great of a lady. Does that give anyone the right to overthrow a government? Let's take a look at the US government. The world over knows that George W. Bush should probably stop existing soon before the world is destroyed, but does that mean that members from countries such as Iran should come to the US without any American consent
and just set up a new government for Americans? Of course not! And if there was a small group of 2nd generation Iranians in our country that would help, would it make it more correct to overthrow the US government? No way! What no Islam? The Iranian government thinks Islam is the most important! Americans should have to be like Islam!...I could just see it all now. What ignorant hypocrites some people can be to think that it's alright to turn Hawaiians into Americans, but it wouldn't be alright to turn America into an Islamic state.

So, I will leave this blog, much the way I left my last one; If you go to a country and you don't like it because it's not enough like the one you came from, don't be so presumptuous to think that the whole world would rather be like your home country, GO HOME WHERE YOU BELONG. The people who were in that country before you like it the way it is and will themselves do whatever changing that needs to be done to suit their own needs.
